Anna “Darleen” Lackie, age 76, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. A longtime resident of Bayfield, Darleen was known for her strength, kindness, and the deep devotion she carried for those she loved.
Darleen was the beloved wife of David Lackie, with whom she shared a lifetime of partnership and unwavering support for 59 years. She was a proud and loving mother to her daughters Shawn Darleen Taylor (Jonathan Taylor), Julie Lyn Lackie, and Stacey Anne Lackie. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Born to Don and Florence Dunham, both deceased, Darleen grew up in a close‑knit family alongside her siblings. She is survived by her brother Keith Dunham (MJ) and sister Dawn Amies (Dave), and is predeceased by her brothers Kirk Dunham and Gary Dunham. Darleen was a devoted grandmother to Richard, Chris, and Steven (Maddison) Taylor, David Cox, Tim Cox (Abby), and Katie Crow (Jay). She was also blessed with thirteen great‑grandchildren with another one on the way, each of whom brought her immense pride and joy.
Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to the Woodingford Lodge Woodstock Staff for the exceptional care, compassion, and kindness shown to Darleen during her time there. Their support brought comfort and dignity to her final chapter.
Cremation has taken place, and the family will hold a private gathering at a later date to celebrate her life.
Darleen’s life was marked by resilience, compassion, and a quiet strength that touched everyone who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured, the friendships she built, and the countless lives she brightened along the way. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
