Barbara Boorer

          It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Jean Boorer on Saturday May 23, 2026 at Woodstock Hospital.

          Barb leaves behind her son Steven (Jenny) McKay, sister Pat (Rob) Bentson, and brother Bruce (Tik) Boyd.  She will be missed by her four grandchildren Jake, Jenna, Natasha, and Jessica, her seven great grandchildren Liam, Skylar, Anastatia, Owen, Hayley, Emmerson, and Avery, as well as niece Larissa and great niece Shae Lynn.  Barbara was predeceased by her husband Barry McKay, parents Matthew and Dorthy Boyd, sister-in-law Jacquie Boyd, and nephew Jason.

          Barbara was a proud employee of the OPP for 29 years.  In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and playing bingo and trips to the beach, particularly Wasaga Beach.  She will be remembered for her sense of humour, big heart and independent nature.

          In keeping with Barbara’s wishes there will be no formal services.  Wareing Cremation Services, 225 Norwich Ave., Woodstock, Ontario has been entrusted with Final Arrangements.  Your messages of remembrance and condolence may be shared here at www.wareingcremation.ca
