Bryan Lemanski

On Tuesday December 12, 2023, in his 81st year, Bryan Michael Paul Lemanski passed peacefully with family by his side at Woodstock Hospital.  Born in Kitchener on March 2, 1943 to Norman and Gladys Lemanski (nee Polzin) (both predeceased).
Bryan will be missed by his wife of 61 years, Gerry (Drew-Smith).  Loving and supportive Father of Wenday Lemanski-Killing, Candace (Tom) Lightfoot, and Melody (Dan) Newman.  Goofy and proud Grandfather/Gpa/Grampy/Grumpa of Wesley (Mickayla), Richard (Karli), Wynne (Harpreet), Nicholas, Michael, Brooklyn, Abby, and Great Grandfather of Oliver.  Brother of Bruce (predeceased) (Lois) Lemanski, and Brent Lemanski.  Brother-in-law of Tom and Kathy Drew-Smith.  Remembered by his nephews and nieces in Cambridge, Toronto, and Hanwell, N.B.

Bryan’s positive and jovial outlook was always welcome to anyone who met him; quick with a joke and hoping to make the people around him smile.  Bryan enjoyed stamp collecting with Gerry, and he was an avid woodworker for many years.  He bowled 5 and 10 pin, including coaching when the kids were younger.  He worked at the Kelsey-Hayes Eureka Plant for 25 years.  Bryan loved watching the birds in the feeders outside his home windows while snuggling the cats and dogs.  But above all, his family meant the most to him.

Bryan would have wanted to send a "BIG Thank You" to Home and Community Care Worker Cristina, PSW’s Ron, Irene, and Jeanette, Saint Elizabeth Nurses Tamara and Jai, and the Staff, Nurses, and Dr. Parker from Oxford County Community Health Centre for the many years of care, support, and for putting up with his bad jokes – and some of them were pretty bad.
The Family sends much gratitude to the Doctors and Nurses at Woodstock Hospital that tried with all they had to make him well again.  The care provided during this time was top notch, and we couldn’t have gotten through this without you all.

A Celebration of Life for Bryan will be held on Saturday January 27, 2024, from 1 to 3:30 p.m., at the Terra Nova Nordic Spa in the Event Room, 596145 Hwy 59 North, Woodstock, Ontario N4S 7W1.

Donations made in Bryan’s name to the Diabetes Canada, or to an Animal Rescue, are appreciated.
