Charles Larry Hefford

September 19, 1945 — February 1, 2026

Woodstock, Ontario

Larry Hefford passed away surrounded by loved ones on Sunday February 1st, 2026 after a lengthy stay at Woodstock Hospital.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Theresa (2012).  A devoted father of Melissa (Dave), John, David (Sherri), Jason (Jenn), and Amy (Clayton).  Grandfather of Dustin, Ashley, Gregory, Kayleen, Victoria, Christopher, Neliah, Johnny, Hayley, Jaylah, Zoe, and Lily, all of whom brought him immense joy.  Dear brother of Penny (Karel), brother-in-law Michael, brother-in-law Peter (Yvette), and brother-in-law Jimmy (Barb).  Larry is remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.  Predeceased by his mother Miriam (Ed), his father Charles, mother-in-law Margaret (Ernie), his sister Pamela, his sister-in-law Joan (Harrold), his sister-in-law Elaine (Stewart), and brother-in-law Tommy (Wanda)

A man with a zest for life, Larry was a legend in the car business, a pillar of the family, and always the life of the party.  He took great pleasure in performing renditions of Elvis and gospel hymns with his dear friend Dave Thomas, and had been musically inclined since his youth.  He loved nothing more than celebrating with a big plate of pasta for any occasion, was famous for his Hefford batch, was a dedicated Toronto Maple Leafs fan, and, to his wife, coined himself "Mr. Wonderful".

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.  His legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to his family will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Friends and family are invited to join us for a Celebration of Life in the Spring (date to be determined).  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Woodstock Salvation Army Community Church,  the Woodstock Hospital Foundation, or a charity of one's choice would be gratefully accepted.

In God’s Care

A loving father, strong and kind,  A faithful heart, a peaceful mind.  God blessed our lives with years we shared,  Through love he gave and faith he dared.

Now called to rest in Heaven above,  Surrounded by eternal love.  Though we grieve, our hope is sure,  In God’s embrace, his life endures.
