Dale C. Minielly

March 28, 1982 — May 27, 2025

Ingersoll, Ontario

With broken hearts and profound love, we announce the passing of Dale Cameron Minielly on May 27, 2025, at the age of 43.  Dale was a husband, soul mate, and best friend for 28 years to Robin, with whom he shared a deep and unbreakable bond that weathered life’s many storms and celebrated its' most beautiful joys.

Dale was a fiercely devoted father to Jackson, Declan, and Grayson.  His children were his pride, his joy, and his purpose - his love for them was limitless and unwavering, reflected in every choice he made and every step he took. They were his greatest legacy and his brightest light.

He was the beloved son of Lynn and Brian MacKenzie, and was predeceased by his father Dennis Minielly (2000), whose memory he held close to his heart.  He was cherished by his in-laws Andre and Joy Asselin, and was a loyal and loving brother to Jeff Minielly, Todd MacKenzie (Sharon), and Tim MacKenzie (Pam), brother-in-law to Shane Asselin (Brianne), and Lisa Minielly.  He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and a circle of truly cherished friends - each of whom adored Dale and will deeply miss his warmth, his humour and laughter, and the immense loyalty he had to those he cared about.  Dale also leaves behind his beloved fur family including Charlotte, Norman, Pudge, Lucy and George, whom he deeply cared for.

Dale was a remarkable human being whose kindness and compassion knew no bounds.  He had an extraordinary gift for making others feel seen, heard, and valued.  Whether it was a friend, a family member, or a stranger in need, Dale always stepped forward to help in whatever way he could.  His empathy and generosity touched many lives and left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Though Dale faced many personal battles, he faced them with courage, vulnerability, and an unyielding commitment to healing.  His journey was not easy, but it was always guided by love - love for his family, for life, and for the hope of better days.  He worked tirelessly to grow, to learn, and to show up more fully for the people he loved most.  He loved his family with fierce devotion - openly, proudly, and in ways that were deeply felt. His love will continue to be a guiding force in the lives of those he leaves behind.

In honour of Dale’s life and his journey, donations can be made to Brentwood Recovery Home, a place of hope and transformation for many.  Let us remember that addiction does not define a person - it is a battle, not a shame.  Dale’s story reminds us of the strength it takes to keep fighting, the courage it takes to ask for help, and the importance of showing love, not judgment, to those who are struggling.  May his legacy inspire us to offer compassion over criticism, support over silence, and hope over despair.

Dale, you are deeply loved, will be forever missed, and always remembered.

A Celebration of life will take place on Sunday June 15, 2025, from 1 to 4 p.m. with words at 3 p.m. at the Ingersoll Legion. 211 Thames Street North, Ingersoll, Ontario.  Please come casually dressed, Dale wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
