David William Barker

Born May 24, 1953 and died peacefully at Woodstock Hospital on Thursday November 18, 2021 in his 69^th year, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Beloved husband of Deirdre (Dede), cherished son of Ruth Barker Witty, brother of Patricia Rine (late Ken), Paul (Joanne), Robert (Joanne), Donald (Lynn), and MaryLynn Barker. Loved brother-in-law to Shelley Davis-Fowler and her husband Dave. Dear Uncle to several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Predeceased by his father William (Bill), and stepfather Cleworth Witty. He will be sadly missed by his fur babies, Buddy, Rosie, and Gracie.  David enjoyed spending time with friends and family, fishing, hunting, playing cards and sharing stories.

In keeping with David’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Memorial donations to the Sweaburg Lions Club, or the Oxford Fish and Game Club are greatly appreciated and may be made directly, or (by cheque) through Wareing Cremation Services, 225 Norwich Avenue, Woodstock, Ontario N4S 3V8 who has been entrusted with final arrangements.
