Surrounded by her loved ones Denise Vuylsteke passed away peacefully on Friday April 25, 2025 after a long courageous battle with ALS.
Denise is survived by her high school sweetheart, best friend and soul mate Don of 44 years, son Scott of Wetaskiwin Alberta, and son Jason (Chantelle) of Aylmer Ontario. Proud Grandmother of Kayle, Abby, Emma, Myles, and Levi. Denise was born on December 9, 1960 in Tillsonburg Ontario and is survived by her mother Jenny Grandbois. Predeceased by her father Jean Guy, nephew Derek, father-in-law Roger, and father-in-law Albert. She is survived by her siblings Christine (Ken) of Otterville, and Brian (Val) of Courtland, her mother in law Jeanette of Tillsonburg, brothers in-law Meacheal (Judy) of Guelph, Tim (Karen) of Tillsonburg, and Terry of London. Survived by her nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Sincere thank you goes out to Denise's Support Staff over the years, Dr. Shoesmith and Staff, Becky, Rose, Paul, Shadi, Victoria, Mounique, Helen, Sandra, Estelle, Jean, Dianne, Nikki, Lisa, Mean, Pam, Laura, Maddy, Chelsea, and as always her loving husband Don.
Denise enjoyed her life with family and friends as well as spending any free time in her flower gardens creating life lasting memories. Denise enjoyed her life as a waitress, in the tobacco fields, Zellers, Carquest auto parts, and Delhi Dodge, always enjoying the company of others. Denise's warmth, generosity, and smiles will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, family, and the countless lives she touched. Her courage, perseverance and bravery through her 14 year battle with ALS was inspiring to many. Her, and her family's, dedication to support ALS research will forever be a life long commitment.
Denise will be having a Celebration of life for all people who lives she has touched on Saturday May 17, 2025, from 1 to 5 p.m., at the Tillsonburg Lions Auditorium, 45 Hardy Avenue, Tillsonburg, Ontario.
