Dennis R. McAffer

      Dennis passed away peacefully at home in London, Ontario surrounded by family and his wife Linda of 11 years by his side, in his 83rd year. 

      Dennis was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta and served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 5 years.  He joined the O.P.P. in 1964.  Dennis retired from the London Police in 1993 after 30 years of loyal and meritorious service to law enforcement in Canada.  He set up his own business to investigate welfare fraud at Ontario Works from 1995 to 2015.  Dennis was predeceased by his first wife Bernice, and his parents George and Patricia McAffer.  Devoted father of Darren (Michele) and Russ (Tracy), of London.  He cherished his grandchildren Connor, Dylan, Owen, and Abbey McAffer and great-grandsons Oliver and Cooper.

     Cremation will take place.  We will say goodbye to a wonderful man at a Celebration of Life to be held on Thursday November 28, 2024, from 1 to 3 p.m., at CUFFS, 330 William Street, London, Ontario .  Dennis requested in lieu of donations or flowers that we spend extra time with family, friends and loved ones in his memory.
