Donna J. Ferreira

The following Obituary written in her own words:

          " Donna J. Ferreira (nee Patchell), born September 28th, 1950 in Toronto, Ontario left us on October 10th, 2026 from Woodstock Hospital after a wonderful life with ups and downs, and insulin dependent for 68 years and still had all her limbs, acceptable vision, hearing and speech.  I didn’t do badly!

          Many wonderful friends from East Coast to Europe and Ontario.  Our travels and times together made my life a great place to live in with many shoulders to lean on.  Thank you to all of you!

          Family one does not choose but most of mine were great and I look forward to catching up with some that left before me.

          I was blessed to have a loving mom (Enid Patchell Donnelly d. 1994) and a kind father (Harold Sydney Patchell d.1963). Thereafter a second dad, Hugh Donnelly till 2002.  My sister Sandra Wallace (Ray) (d.2025), Bob Donnelly (d. 2009), Danny Donnelly (d. 2026), Vanetta Donnelly, and Gail (John) Ozols.

          I loved working in the hotel industry, travel, gardening, and putting floats together for WAS Victoria Day parade in May and Santa Claus parade in November, Woodstock Ontario.

          Hosting Christmas dinners and having all family together were always highlights.  At our peak we were 24 and most wined, dined and stayed over for at least one night.

          Thank you to everyone who shared in my life, my adventures, my laughter, and even the difficult times.  You all helped make it a life well lived."

          Donna has requested that there is no Service, and that no flowers and no donations should be made.
