Donna Jean Smith

Donna Jean Smith of Woodstock, Ontario passed away peacefully at the Woodstock Hospital on Monday November 6, 2023, in her 84th year.
Donna will be missed and lovingly remembered by her sons Kip (Kathryn) Blair, Dan Blair, Mike Cornell, Paul (Denise) Cornell, daughter-in-law, Cathy Cornell, sister Jo Ann Gommeringer, and brothers Don Carter and Reg Carter. She was loved and will be forever missed by her grandchildren Cody (Merve) Blair, Katy (Danny) Blair, Shawn (Kelsie) Gesinghaus, Danielle Cornell, Dylan (Brittaney) Cornell, Thomas (Jessie) Cornell, Amanda (Daniel) Cornell, by her great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her three cats Pi, Pookie and Spooky.
Donna was predeceased by her loving husband Larry Smith, sisters Sharon Carter and Connie Vigneault, sons John Cornell, Bradley Cornell, and grandson Matthew.

Donna had a deep love and compassion for animals and the outdoors, bird watching, and enjoying her gardens.  She loved fishing and being in a boat. Donna was an enthusiastic cook and took great pleasure in watching people consume her efforts.  She was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan!

The family is extremely grateful for the compassionate care provided to Donna in her final days by all of the wonderful Staff of the Woodstock Hospital.  In memory of Donna, donations to an animal shelter/rescue service, or charity of your choice is appreciated by the family. In respect of her wishes, there will not be a memorial service.
