Edward John Vitias

           Edward John Vitias ‘Sonny’ passed away peacefully at home in Woodstock, Ontario on Tuesday September.15, 2026.

           He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Pansy, and is survived by his sister Terry.  Beloved partner of Donna Payne for 21 years.  Proud father of Scott (Shannon), and Aara (Derek).  Grandfather of Jesse, Jordan, and Tyler.  Fondly remembered by his extended family Jamie (Erica), Brad (Crissy), Darren (Sandra), and many other grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

          Ed was a recognized member for many years at the Woodstock Legion Branch #55.  Ed was very fond of fishing, yard sales, and a good buffet.

          In keeping with Ed's wishes cremation has already taken place.  A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday September 26, 2026, from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Woodstock Royal Canadian Legion Branch #55, 642 Dundas Street, Woodstock, Ontario.  For those who wish to make a donation, please feel free to donate to the Woodstock Legion Branch #55, or a charity of your choice.
