Eleanor Isobel Sherman

Eleanor Isobel Sherman (McKay) of Tillsonburg at aged 92 left us unexpectedly but peacefully on Friday December 15th with family by her side at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital.   Survived by her son Brian (Mary), daughter in law Marg, and devoted Grandmother to Cheryl (Jeff), Sarah (Aaron), Kyle, Jessica, Lisa, Brian, and Jennifer; adored Great Grandmother to Brodie, Nevaeh, Barret, Briar, and great-grandchildren Madison, Alyssa, Shane, Shyla, Summer, Kass and Justin.  Also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her partner Jack Fletcher, daughter Marilyn and son Doug.

Eleanor loved her family dearly.  Family holidays spent together were so special to her and her relationship with her close friend of 50 years Renate, and neighbour Bev was cherished.  Eleanor’s dedication to family and friends extended into the community through her work at Heath’s, mastectomy fittings, and over 10 years of volunteering for Lioness, Lions and TDMH.  Even in her last days with us Eleanor still found a way to smile, laugh and share some special moments with her family.

A special thank you to the Nurses in TDMH, your caring manner and support throughout was greatly appreciated.  A private burial will take place in the new year at Norwich Village Cemetery for the immediate family and friends. Memorial donations to the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, the Toronto Sick Kids Foundation, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
