Elisabeth M. Mathews

          Elisabeth Mathews peacefully passed away, with her daughter by her side, on Thursday January 22, 2026 at the Barrie Family Hospice of Elgin in St. Thomas, Ontario.

          Predeceased by her loving husband Jack.  Loved Mother of Shawn (Shanna) Mathews, and Stephanie Beattie (Shaun Vinnai).  Nana of Dalton, Owen, Emmitt, Carter, and Hunter.  Dear sister of Danny Mayer and his wife Tammy. Aunt of Mason and Vanessa.  Predeceased by her parents Wendelin and Leopololine Mayer, and her brother Fred.

          Family and friends are welcome to join us for the Committal on Saturday January 31st, 2026 at 11 a.m., in Saint Ladislaus Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, 106 Talbot St., Courtland, Ontario.   For those who wish, memorial donations to the pet rescue of your choice would be appreciated.
