Emil Deblaire

The Family wishes to announce the passing of Emil Franklin Louis DeBlaire, in his 85th year, on Tuesday August 9, 2022. Born on October 24, 1937 to Richard and Julia DeBlaire.
Emil and Stephanie (nee Stephens) married on May 30, 1958 and had an incredible 39 years of marriage and four children before the early and heartbreaking passing of Stephanie on August 4, 1997 at the young age of 57.
Emil is survived by his children, Kevin (Jennifer), Darrell (Cindy), Shari (Doug) Lilley, and Diane DeBlaire (Mark).
Loved Papa of Kristin, Michael, Bryan, Kari, Trevor, Stephen, Julia, Allison, Cole, Tie, Curtis, Crystal, Tabitha, and Justin. Great Papa of fifteen great grandchildren.
Emil is survived by his sisters Madeline Lammens (Sam predeceased), and Jacqueline Declerq (Roger predeceased), by his sister in law Judy Hart (Gary) (Jack predeceased), and brother in law Robert (Sheryl) Stephens.
Emil and Stephanie are missed by their forever friends Henrietta Jacobs (Marcel predeceased); they spent almost every weekend together, with all of their kids, playing cards and board games, sharing many laughs and good times.
Emil’s career of truck driving started with M.I.T. working for George Gilvesy where he earned a 25 year pin for safe driving, and then he moved on to employment with Sandham Trucking. Emil was known to many in Straffordville where he and Stephanie raised their family, and after her passing he moved to Tillsonburg until his final residence at Mary Bucke Nursing Home in St. Thomas.
As Dad had wished, cremation has taken place.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday August 20, 2022, at 11 am, in the Straffordville Cemetery, 56024 Heritage Line, Straffordville. 
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Caressant Care Mary Bucke are most appreciated.
