Estrella Balagot Gapasin Ubando

           It is with deep love and profound sadness that we share the passing of Estrella “Ella” Balagot Gapasin Ubando.  A devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of the Lord,  Ella entered into eternal rest in her 68th year of life on November 4th, 2025 at Woodstock Hospital.  She is now reunited with her beloved parents Bernardo and Florencia Gapasin and is now in peace with the loving embrace of our Heavenly Father.

          A woman whose life was a living testament to her Roman Catholic faith, Ella prayed daily, entrusted all things to God, and found her strength and peace through the Church.  Her unwavering devotion shaped not only her own journey, but also the hearts and lives of her family and friends.  The light of her faith continues to shine through her children and grandchildren; a legacy of love rooted in prayer, grace, and service.

          She leaves behind her loving husband, Ruben Reyes Yadao Ubando, and their three cherished children: Rubelyn Ubando, Ruben Ubando II (Caryn Ubando), and Sol Riel Ubando (Alyssa Ubando).  She was the proud grandmother of four beautiful grandchildren - Marlan, Parker, Tyson, and Lourenço.

          Ella lived each day with kindness, compassion, and she always put others before herself.  To her family, she was a pillar of strength and to her friends, a source of light and comfort.  She carried herself with grace, generosity, and a beauty that radiated from within — a reflection of her deep love for God.  Her legacy is one of devotion and service — a reminder to live with gratitude, to pray often, and to love deeply.  She will be forever remembered as a strong, caring, and loving woman whose faith guided every step of her life.  May she rest in eternal peace, welcomed by the angels and embraced by the love of God she so faithfully served.

          Family and friends are invited to gather for Ella's Memorial Mass on Saturday, November 22nd at 11:00 a.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1420 Devonshire Avenue, Woodstock, Ontario.
