Francis Arthur Seys

 A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 9, 2026, from 12 noon to 4 p.m., at the Drumbo Agricultural Hall, 42 Centre St., Drumbo, Ontario.   Francis wasn’t keen on ties and suits, so please wear your best blue jeans, camo, or coveralls.

           The family of Francis regret to announce that he passed away at home on Sunday May 3, 2026.

           Predeceased by his parents Arthur Seys and Delores Briggs.  Devoted husband of Gwen Weber who he married August 13, 2011.  Proud father of Kelly (Quennie) Wanklin, Amanda (Ben) McCarthy, and Adam (Kayla) Wanklin.  Special step-father to Katie Fried and Maggie (Kevin) Seemangal.  Brother of Mark (Bonnie) Seys and Mike Seys. Brother-in-law of Karen (Bryan) Woolner, Vern (Kathryn) Weber, Bruce (Cathy) Weber and Jeff (Aleisha) Weber.  Poppa to nine grandchildren, and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

           Francis began his career long-haul trucking, transitioning into vehicle maintenance and eventually specializing in the aviation industry.  He was happiest when tearing apart a piece of equipment and bringing it back to life.  A perfect day for Francis could include fishing, visiting scrapyards and pawnshops, anything involving motorcycles, chainsaws or trucks or just sitting and talking with someone he had just met.

           Cremation has taken place and in accordance with Francis’ wishes, his ashes will be scattered at his favourite fishing holes at a later date.  A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 9, 2026, from 12 noon to 4 p.m., at the Drumbo Agricultural Hall, 42 Centre St., Drumbo, Ontario.  Francis wasn’t keen on ties and suits, so please wear your best blue jeans, camo, or coveralls.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to Woodstock Hospital Foundation or the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
