Gary W. Brown

         The Brown family is saddened to announce the passing of Gary Wayne “Butch” Brown at the Woodstock Hospital with his family by his side, at the age of 80 years, on Wednesday March 26, 2025.

         Gary is survived by his loving wife of over 57 years Joan (nee Savage), sons Chris (Devan) of Woodstock, and Stephen (Mia) of Toronto, and six grandchildren.  Loving brother and best friend of E. Gordon (Gwen) of Woodstock.  Brother-in-law of Gerald (Janet) Savage of London, Mary (Roy) Martin of Woodstock, Linda (Gary) Huggins of RR4 Woodstock, and Uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Gary was predeceased by his loving parents Gordon and Chris Brown formerly of Woodstock, Ontario.

        Gary and Joan lived and worked their whole lives in the Woodstock area including owning and operating Brown’s Variety and Hobby Centre on Huron Street before Gary pursued a career in real estate.  Gary enjoyed woodworking, camping, fishing, and time spent with family and friends.

        In keeping with Gary's wishes cremation has taken place.  Wareing Cremation Services, 225 Norwich Ave., Woodstock, Ontario have been entrusted with Final Arrangements.  Your messages of remembrance and condolence may be shared here at wareingcremation.ca
