George Strilisky

          It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Strilisky on August 2, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

          He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Susan, children Brandon (Antonia), Katherine (Andrew), grandchildren Lilia, Colin, Ryan, and Dawson, his mother Julia, sisters Patricia (Wayne), Christine (Paul), nephew, nieces, great nephews and nieces, and many friends.

          George loved fishing at the cottage, playing his guitars, and cheering for his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs.  He was an avid golfer and loved the game until he had to pay up at the end of the round!

          The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the Palliative team of Carepartners for the incredible care and support, as well as his doctors at LHSC Cancer Clinic.

          Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday October 17, 2025, from 1 to 3 p.m., at the Butler Funeral Home, 424 Niagara St., St. Catharines, Ontario.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the LHSC Cancer Clinic would be most appreciated.
