Gerald Parsons

Gerald Albert ‘Gerry’ Parsons passed away quietly in the evening of Tuesday December 20, 2022 from the complications of Parkinsons, in his 86th year. His journey was eased by the compassionate care of the Staff of the Caressant Care Nursing home and earlier by the Nurses of the Complicated Care Unit of the Woodstock Hospital.

Gerald will be greatly missed by his brother Robert ‘Bob’ Parsons (Donna), his sister Eleanor (Bernie Golding), and by his brother David. Also missed by nephews and nieces: Robert (Bob Jr.), Patricia Chatterson, Cathy McRae and Tina Hedman, and Ruth and Bill Golding, his great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. Gerald was predeceased by parents George Alexander and Dorothy Jane Parsons. Gerald will also be missed by special friends John and Debbie Ambrosiak, and was "Uncle Gerry" to Michael, Sarah, Adam, Jessica, Katie and Nick. Dear friend to Rob Reeves. Gerald's quick wit and great sense of humour will be missed by many. After a career of 35 years in teaching, Gerald retired quietly, enjoying gardening and adventure travels.

At the deceased's directions cremation has taken place and no service is planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, if wished, memorial donations made to Parkinsons Society of Canada or the charity of choice.
