The angels are always near

To those who are grieving,

To whisper to them,

That their loved one,

Is safe in the hand of the Lord.

Glen loved living in the country, seeing the wild animals and the birds (especially hummingbirds) daily.  One of his favourite past times was sitting on the back deck watching the birds in the many feeders outside his home. The only thing that would be better was when family or friends stopped by.

Glen’s life was a full and long one.  He was very proud of his time as a Canadian soldier stationed in Germany during the early 1950's, and his time spent working at the Ipperwash barracks after his return home.

To say Glen enjoyed country music would be an understatement.  He would tell you that his greatest accomplishment in life was his songwriting and the records he had collaborated on and published.  During the last few years of his life, he was happiest when a friend, neighbour or family would sit a spell and enjoy his music with him.

He was a gentle, caring, hardworking man who loved his family dearly.  His friendly and positive outlook was always appreciated by anyone who met him.

He loved riding his bike around Forest Estates where he had spent more than 20 years living with his late wife Linda.  It was a successful ride if he caught up with a neighbour and had a long chat and a laugh or two.

He will be missed!

Glen’s last few months were spent at Earls Court Village in London, Ontario.  We would like to extend a special Thank-You to the Nurses, PSW, and Staff; your caring manner and support throughout was greatly appreciated.

God takes our loved ones from our homes, but never from our hearts.
