Gracia Hillel Phillips

        Gracia Hillel Phillips, known affectionately to friends and family as Grace, passed away peacefully of natural causes on January 11, 2025, in Woodstock, Ontario.  Born on September 21, 1935, in Blind River, Grace lived a life marked by love, humor, and an indomitable spirit that touched everyone she knew.

       Grace was the beloved partner of the late Douglas Carter and a devoted mother to her children.  She is survived by her sons Denis Phillips (Brenda), Richard Phillips (Debra), Allan Phillips (Melanie), Michael Phillips, Cyril Phillips, Roger Phillips (Melinda), and by her daughter LeeAnne Johnston (Norman).  She was preceded in death by her sons Donald Phillips and Robert Phillips.  Each of her children, numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, will remember her as a guiding light, a source of endless support, and the heart of their family.

      Those who knew Grace would describe her as loving, funny, and spirited.  She had an infectious laugh and a wit that could light up any room.  Her presence was a source of joy and comfort to her family, friends, and colleagues.  Grace's ability to find humor in the everyday and her unwavering positive outlook on life were her trademarks.

     As we bid farewell to Gracia "Grace" Hillel Phillips, we celebrate a life that was indeed lived for others - a life that was, without a doubt, worthwhile.  Her spirit will continue to inspire us, and her love will forever be the foundation upon which her family stands.
