Gwenneth Jeanne Wark

          On Sunday December 7, 2025, Gwen passed away peacefully in her 97th year, on her own terms at Woodstock Hospital.  Her daughters Janet and her husband Bill, and Cori and her husband Doug were at her side.  She will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her, especially her grandchildren Tamara and Ryan, great grandchildren Logan and Brooklyn, and her nieces and nephews.  Gwen was predeceased by husband Frank (2014), her daughter Debi (1958), and her brother Ron and his wife June.

          Gwen and her husband Frank moved to Waterloo, Ontario from Toronto in the sixties.  Gwen operated Gwen Wark School of Dance at home for 13 years allowing her to stay home with her daughters.  She then worked in retail until her retirement.  Gwen and Frank were very fortunate to have been Winter Texans in their motor home for 17 years.  Gwen kept extremely active well into her 80’s doing aerobics, country line dancing and riding her 3-wheel bike around Braemar Valley RV Park.  Knowing she is free from pain and with her loved ones who predeceased her, will give family and friends peace and comfort in the very difficult days ahead.

          The family would like to thank the kindness and care Gwen received from the staff at Langdon Retirement Villa where she resided for the past 11 months

          As per Gwen’s wishes there will be no service or celebration of life; cremation has taken place.  Memorial donations made to Purrfect Companions of Norfolk, or any local cat rescue, would be greatly appreciated.
