Herinka Delange Parkes

Herinka Delange Parkes, 47, returned to her heavenly home on January 4, 2021 after a valiant battle with a long illness. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.

Herinka was born to Deborah Miller (nee Denny) and the late John Arthur Miller Jr. in Newfane, New York on January 15, 1973. She was part of the worship team at Oxford Baptist Church in Woodstock, Ontario. Herinka loved to sing and praise the Lord. She graduated from the university of Xavier, Cincinnati with a degree in athletic training.

Herinka married Anthony Parkes, on September 10, 2005 in Niagara Falls, Ontario and was blessed with two loving daughters Adelina and Alessaundra. She raised her daughters with patience, discipline and humility. From the very beginning, she dedicated her children to God and encouraged them to explore the beauty of the gospels.

Herinka was a sports nut at heart (especially the Bills and the Sabres). She was kind and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how small. She is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her Creator. Herinka is survived by her two sisters, Ericka (Mike) Sullivan, Melanie (John) Ormond. She will be missed dearly by her nephews and nieces.

Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of her life will take place at a later time. Prayers, condolences and memories are gladly accepted by the family.
