Jacqueline Oliver

Jul 4, 1944 — Oct 2, 2026

Tillsonburg, Ontario

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Jacqueline “Jackie” Oliver (née Wilson), a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Born in Toronto on July 4, 1944, to Harvey and Gladys Wilson, Jackie spent her early years in Toronto before life took her on many wonderful adventures.  She enjoyed happy years in Montreal and Winnipeg before settling in the family’s beloved Campbellford, where she and her husband, Rodger, took on the brave adventure of farming and working the land.  It was a chapter filled with hard work, laughter and memories that would last a lifetime.

Jackie was a wonderfully creative soul with an extraordinary artistic talent.  An accomplished painter, she spent countless hours bringing beautiful ceramics, sculptures and works in many other mediums to life.  Her creativity seemed to know no bounds, and she had a special gift for making the world around her a little more beautiful.  Perhaps nowhere was this more evident than in her gardens.  Jackie was happiest surrounded by flowers, interesting plants and the unique outdoor pottery she so carefully collected.  She took great pride in creating beautiful outdoor spaces, and the backyard of her Colborne home was truly something special, a garden so thoughtfully designed and lovingly tended that it was featured on many local garden tours.

Jackie and her devoted husband, Rodger, shared a lifetime of love and adventures.  Together they enjoyed many happy years in Florida, countless rounds of golf and, of course, their greatest adventure of all, raising their beloved sons, Rob and Mike. Jackie treasured her close circle of friends and was known for her thoughtfulness, generosity and wonderfully unique gifts. She had a way of finding just the right thing for someone and was always willing to lend a hand to a friend or neighbour.  Those fortunate enough to know her will remember her kindness, creativity and the special touches she brought to everything she did.  She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Jordann, Jack and Charlie, each of whom held a very special place in her heart.

Jackie is lovingly remembered by her husband, Rodger; her sons, Rob (Tahnee) and Mike (Allison); her treasured grandchildren, Jordann (Kyle), Jack and Charlie, great grandchildren, Emilee and Henry, her brother, Norm (Barb); and her sisters, Jane (Seb), Alice, Kate and Ruth, along with her extended family and many dear friends.

Jackie was a beautiful, creative and wonderfully unique woman who lived life in her own special way. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories, beautiful works of art, gardens lovingly tended and countless lives made brighter by knowing her.  A Celebration of Life to honour Jackie will be held on Saturday November 28, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Hickory Hills Club House, 48 Wilson Ave., Tillsonburg, ON N4G 5LG.
