James Michael Follett

          James Michael Follett passed away peacefully with his partner and children by his side on Wednesday February 11, 2026, at Woodstock Hospital.

          Jim was passionate about his golf and could be found on the golf course every Sunday.  In the early morning hours, you could find Jim walking the hiking trails with his Labrador Retrievers.  He loved the quiet comfort of nature.  He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his love of conversation, despite claiming he was “not much of a talker”.

          James is survived by his partner, Marlene Washchuk; his children, Michelle, Lisa, and Michael (Lyndsey); his stepchildren, Jessica (Karl) and Katherine (Sergio); his grandchildren, Olivia, Ava, Lily, Dominic, and Xavier.  “Papa Jim” to grandchildren Lukas, Ayden, Noah, and Cameron.

          Cremation has taken place, and a private family gathering will be held in the Spring.  Memorial donations to the charity of your choice are welcome.
