James Moffat

          James ‘Jim’ Moffat passed away peacefully surrounded by immediate family at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Monday April 14, 2025 in his 87th year.  Formerly of Hespeler Cambridge for 62 years before moving to the quiet town of Aylmer, Ontario 9 years ago.

          Beloved husband for 65 years of Diane.  Will be greatly missed by his children Cathy Nealy (Jeff), Marty (Wendy), Wendy, and Lori Hanson (Chris).  Loving grandfather of Rob, Kyle, Kevin, Cheryl, Junypyr and CeiJay, and six great grandchildren.  Jim leaves a large circle of extended family and friends.  He is survived by one sister Ruth (Roger).  Jim was predeceased by grandchildren Michael (1985) and Brock (2022), his son-in-law Charlie (2023), his parents Archie and Florence, and his siblings Marie, Tom, Ethel, Marjorie and Jack.

          In keeping with Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.  As expressions of sympathy, a donation in Jim's memory to a charity of one's choice is appreciated.
