James Ormston

          It is with extreme sorrow and immeasurable love that we announce the passing of James ‘Jim’ Ormston of Woodstock, Ontario on Saturday October 25, 2025, surrounded by family, at the Woodstock Hospital.

          Jim was a kind and gentle soul who had the biggest of hearts possible.  He was a loving, devoted husband and best friend to Linda, and the proud father of Troy, Trevor (Jen), and Tania (Gary).  Jim was a fun-loving Papa to his many grandchildren and his great - grandchildren.  Words alone cannot express the deep, abiding partnership shared by Jim and Linda.  They were each other's everything for the last 43 years and neither of them would have had it any other way.  Jim is survived by his brother Ron, and his sisters - in - law Mary Anne and Sharon. Predeceased by his parents Andrew and Betty (formerly of Norwich), his two brothers Drew and Bill, sister in-law Els, and his niece Erica.

          Jim had a love as well as a passion for old cars like his Anglia and his dream car was always the 41 Willys.  He not only liked to look at them but work on them as well.  When Jim and Linda lived in Norwich, 9 times out of 10 you would see Jim sitting outside enjoying the fresh air and watching the cars go by.  Jim spent many years of his professional life at Fisher Controls as well as Thomas Bus working in Quality Control.

          In keeping with Jim's wishes there will be no funeral service or interment service.  Wareing Cremation Services, 225 Norwich Ave., Woodstock, Ontario has been entrusted with Final Arrangements.  Your messages of remembrance and condolence may be shared here at www.wareingcremation.ca
