James Robert Watkin - Memorial Service

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday November 23, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in the Chapel at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 303 Riverside Drive, London, Ontario.    

      James Robert Watkin, in his 90th year, passed away peacefully at home in the early morning of Monday October 14, 2024.

      Bob was predeceased by his wife Helen, son Allan, brothers Bill and Rick, sister Marlene (Midge) and parents Irene and Jim.  He will be deeply missed by his daughter Beverly and her husband Mike, his son Robert, daughter in law Brenda, his grandchildren Michael (Julie), Ryan, Jason (Erica), Scott (Sarah), Sarah (Dylan), and Sierra (Keagan).  Great grandchildren Declan, Julia, Levi, Nathan, Caden, and Aria, who were the lights of his life.  He will be missed by his brothers Jack (Ellen), Gordon (Daniel), his brother-in-law Glenn Johnston, and many extended family members and friends.

      Bob was born in London, Ontario on August 3, 1935.  His career was in sales, and he retired in 1999 to enjoy his many interests, investing, cooking, guitar playing, learning new things, but especially enjoying quality time with his family.

      A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday November 23, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in the Chapel at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 303 Riverside Drive, London, Ontario.  Memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation are most appreciated.
