Jason Lovie

           It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Jason Paul Wesley Lovie on Sunday July 19, 2026, after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer.  Through it all, Jason fought with incredible strength and grace, never letting on just how sick he was, taking his final breath surrounded by his devoted wife and loving family.

          Jason was the beloved husband and best friend to his wife of 26 years, Cheryl-Ann Lovie.  Family was everything to Jason, and his legacy of love, strength, and generosity will forever live on through those he cherished most.  He is survived by his only son Josh Lovie (Callie), and was a proud stepfather to Jannyssa Husk (Ryan), Paige Killing, and Hillary Griffith (Brent).  He was the world’s best grandfather to Quinn, Gracie, Lucy, Priscilla, Madden, and Navy, each of whom brought him boundless joy.  Jason will be deeply missed by his parents Terry Lovie (predeceased by Lorraine), and Katharine Foster (predeceased by Doug Foster), his mother-in-law, Joan Massicotte, and his brothers Steve Lovie and David Lovie.  He will also be fondly remembered by his furry companions, Gemma, Burns, and Loki, (predeceased by Deuce)

          For 35 years, Jason worked as an HVAC technician, establishing himself as a true master and expert in his field.  Together with Cheryl-Ann, they were the proud owners of "The Comfort Guy," running their business with honesty, integrity and excellence before selling their business to a large corporation in 2021.  There was nothing he couldn’t fix, giving truth to the family saying, "If Grandpa can't fix it, we're screwed!"  He was always just a single phone call away - if family or friends ever needed help around the house, Jason would drop everything at a moment’s notice, showing up with a smile and almost immediately figuring out the solution.  His talents were endless - from his work to his hobbies, like building his own custom copper still and crafting his signature “10th Line Shine Apple Pie” - but his greatest talent of all was the unconditional love he showed his family.

         When he wasn't fixing things or spending time with his family, Jason was at the track.  Known as the formidable “Wheel Man” in the #21c car in the Bone Stock division at Delaware Speedway, Jason raced with pure passion and a single objective.... to win.  Living by his motto, “If you’re not first, you’re last!”, his spirit on and off the track will never be forgotten.

         To his Family, Race Car Friends, Workmates, and Colleagues, please join us as we honor and celebrate a life so exceptionally lived.  A Memorial Service, and Gathering, will be held on Sunday July 26, 2026, beginning at 1p.m. at the Craigowan Golf and Country Club.  The Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. sharp.  Following the Service, family and friends are warmly invited for a time of fellowship, food, refreshments and shared memories as we celebrate Jason’s Life.
