Jill was active for many years with the St. John’s Ambulance alongside her husband, volunteering and teaching, receiving many awards and medals. one being the highest honour of being Knighted by the Governor General of Canada.  Jill worked at Ingersoll Machine as a First Aid Nurse and Benefits Rep. before her health forced retirement.  She had many passions over the years doing leather work, calligraphy writing, drawing and painting on canvas, ceramics and her favorite was crocheting many items including lap afghans and baby hats to donate.  Jill enjoyed her time at the Oxford Fish & Game cooking outdoors, camping in a pioneer setting, dressing the part, shooting with muzzle loader, axe throwing and canoeing.

Jill had many health issues, surgeries and life challenges. The past few years took a tole on Jill, her light dimmed when she lost her son but we were able to see it brighten the day baby Carter was born.  She looked forward to receiving pictures of him; Carter made her heart smile again.

In keeping with Jill's wishes there will be no funeral. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date and those details will be included here once decision’s have been finalized. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke or Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated.
