John Cheney

          John "Jack" Arthur Cheney, born February 25,1938, in Stratford, Ontario, passed away peacefully at Woodstock Hospital on Monday November 24, 2025.

          Beloved husband of Sharyn (nee Skowby). Loving father of Brock (Brenda) and Laura (Corey).  Proud grandfather of Robert (Courtney), Jessie, Coby (Louis), Anthony and Kaitlyn.  Cherished "GG Jack" to his seven great grandchildren: Ayla, Eddy, Sadie, Violet, Charlie, Olive and Lucas.  Along with his family, he will also be missed by his extended family and dear friends.

          Jack will be remembered for his devotion to his family, and for his love for hockey and golf, both of which he had the ability to enjoy well into his retirement.

          Special thanks to Dr. Howatt and nurses in the Palliative Care Unit at Woodstock Hospital who provided exceptional and compassionate care to Jack in his final stage of life.

          In keeping with Jack’s wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will have a private ceremony.  In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Woodstock Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
