John S. Reid

      John ‘Stoney’ Reid passed away with family by his side on Tuesday September 3, 2024, in his 73rd year, at Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll, Ontario.

      Beloved husband of Denise.  Proud Father of Shannon, Alecia, Carolyn (Patrick), Amy (Andrew), David, and Shawn (Emily), and Grandpa of five grandchildren.  Dear brother of Gerald (Linda), and Cathy (Ronny), and brother-in-law of Deborah (Julian), Danny (Doris), Donald (Teresa), and Dennis.  Remembered by his nieces and nephews.  John was predeceased by his parents James and Dorcas Reid, his brother Darwin, and his mother-in-law Carol Thomson.

      John’s passion was classic rock playing the drums and guitar.  Both John and Denise marched with the United Alumni Drum and Bugle Corp.  John truly enjoyed his volunteer work with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 153 in Tillsonburg.

      The Reid family invites friends and family to join them in celebrating John's life on Saturday April 12, 2025 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 153, 16 Durham Street, Tillsonburg, Ontario.  The Celebration of Life will be held from from 1 to 4 p.m., with a Service at 1:30 p.m.
