Joseph Cornelissen

          It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Joseph Cornelissen, on September 8th, 2025, at the age of 68.

          Born on June 24th, 1957, in St. Thomas, Ontario.  Joe was predeceased by his mother and father, Dina Cornelissen (Hendriks) and John Cornelissen, as well as his eldest brother, Ted Cornelissen.  For 45 years, Joe was devoted to his wife Kim Redmond.  He was a proud father to Stephanie Elliott (Joe) and Jobeth Redmond (Garrett), and a beloved Grandpa to Mya Elliott and Hanna Elliott, who brought him immeasurable joy.

          Joe loved nothing more than simple pleasures.  He enjoyed chatting over coffee, watching the birds in his yard, and spending quiet hours in nature.  His steady presence and kind nature was a source of comfort to those who knew him best.

          Those closest to him will remember his thoughtful conversations and his ability to find peace in life’s small moments.  He was a strong, supportive husband and loved our family kayaking trips, never missing a chance to get us all out on the water.  Because of him, his daughters still carry a deep love for the outdoors and camping.

          Joe will be missed more than words can say, and forever loved.  In keeping with his wishes, no formal service will be held.  His family encourages those who knew him to honor his memory in their own way, whether by sharing a story or taking a quiet moment in nature.
