The family of Kathy Bernice Haacke is heartbroken to announce her unexpected passing on May 30, 2026, at the age of 49, due to a brief illness.
To know Kathy was to know a heart that loved deeply and fiercely. She possessed a rare, gentle innocence and a soft soul that remained true to who she was throughout her life. She held a deep belief in something bigger than herself, carrying a faith in God that she leaned on closely throughout her journey. Kathy loved her family, especially her two children Andrew and Brianna. Kathy found her greatest peace and happiness in the quiet beauty of nature. She was a person who constantly strived to grow and be better, always holding onto hope. While Kathy faced profound personal battles, those struggles will not define her in our cherished memories. They could not diminish the warmth she gave to others or the beautiful essence of the person she was. Today, we choose to celebrate that vibrant, caring soul we were so blessed to love.
Kathy is lovingly remembered by her mother, Linda Haacke; her children, Andrew Van Belleghem (Trish) and Brianna Mogg (Alex); her siblings, Harold Haacke (Johanna), Angela Wildfong (Rodney), and Brian Haacke (Diserie); her brother-in-law Randy Miller; as well as her nieces and nephews, many extended family and friends and those she held dearest to her heart. Kathy was predeceased by her father Harry Ronald Haacke, and her sister Cindy Darlene Miller.
Family and friends are warmly invited to attend Kathy’s Funeral Service on Tuesday June 9th, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m., at The New Apostolic Church, located at 45 Cronyn St., Woodstock Ontario. Service will be followed by a light lunch and fellowship. Cremation has taken place and Kathy’s final resting place will be at the Anglican Cemetery in Woodstock.
