Ken Hawke Sr.

          With deep love and sadness, we announce the passing of Ken Hawke Sr. on June 13, 2026 at Woodstock Hospital at the age of 81.

          Beloved partner of Darla Hearns.  Ken will be deeply remembered by Cheryl Hawke, and Jodi Finch (Casey), Jenn (Scott) Skevington, Veronica Miller, Mark (Ame) Hearns, and John (Tarah) Hearns.  Beloved grandfather of Dustin (Nikki), adopted grandson Shane, Logan, Reed, Aubrielle, Cali, Brook-Lyn, Khloe, Randy, Shiloh, Annabelle, Mary-Jane, and Lexxen.  Ken was predeceased by his son Ken Hawke Jr.  He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his children, stepchildren, and grandchildren.

          As a passionate sports fan, Ken was long-term supporter of the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs.  His greatest joy was coaching minor hockey many years ago for his son Ken Jr.  He spent most of his working years as a truck driver and cab driver.  Ken will be missed by many friends and neighbors.  Ken’s presence brought familiarity and warmth to those around him, and his absence will be deeply felt.  His memory will live on in the stories shared, the friendships he built, and the lives he touched.

          The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Woodstock Hospital.

          A celebration of life will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy donations can be made to United Way Oxford or to the MS Society in the memory of Ken and his son Ken Jr.
