Kenneth George Angus

          Kenneth ‘Ken’ George Angus, age 71, of Thorndale Ontario, died Tuesday May 5th, 2026 at the VON Sakura Hospice in Woodstock, Ontario, after his 2-year long battle with cancer.

          He was born on August 18th, 1954, to William 'Bill' and Helen Angus in Wingham Ontario.  Ken married Katherine “Kathy” (nee Dempsey) on September 21st, 1996.  He worked driving truck, and retired from Contrans in April 2024.  He loved getting home after a long 1 to 2 plus weeks on the road to just relax and enjoy some of his favorite TV shows along with a couple beers.  Ken had a love of horses back from when he was younger.  Ken will forever be remembered for his cowboy hat, leather jacket, dangling keys and his large belt buckles.

          Ken is survived by his mother Helen Angus, wife Kathy Angus, children Raymond Angus (Lauren Dean), William (Caitlin) Angus, Kaitlynn Angus, grandchildren Raymond Jr., Alex, Kylee, Kennedy, Thea, Beau, and Peyton, his siblings Barb (Merv) Allen, Joanne (Larry) Burns, Betty - Jane (Dennis) Gallon, Charles (Lorrie ) Angus, in - laws Darlene Dempsey (Gerrard Davis), Karen (Tony) Tashjian, Terry Dempsey (Dave Lang), Raymond (Laura) Dempsey, and Melanie Dempsey (Dean Noseworthy), as well as his many nieces and nephews.  Ken was preceded in death by his father William ‘Bill’ Angus, and best friend Heinz Peekhaus (March 1, 2026).

          There will be a Celebration of life on Saturday May 30, 2026, from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Cambridge Navy Club, 30 Cambridge Street, Cambridge, Ontario   N1R 3R7
