In Loving Memory of Krzysztof “Kris” “Mistrzu” Cybelius
With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Krzysztof “Kris” “Mistrzu” Cybelius, who passed away on October 9, 2026, at the age of 68.
Born in Poland, Kris came to Canada to create a better life for his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and a hardworking man known for his quiet strength, intelligence, and ability to solve any problem. A man of few words, he showed his love through his actions, always willing to help, fix, build, and share his knowledge with others. He continued caring for those around him until the very end.
Kris treasured camping, fishing with his wife, oldest daughter, and grandsons, riding his electric bike at Point Farms, and watching his baby daughter race her sports car. These moments, along with countless everyday memories, will forever hold a special place in his family’s hearts. He leaves behind his beloved wife, three children, seven grandchildren, two fur-granddaughters, extended family, and friends who will miss him dearly. Though we will miss his helping hands, clever mind, quiet presence, and the comfort of knowing he was always there, his legacy lives on in everything he built, everything he taught, and everyone he loved.
Rest peacefully, Daddy. Thank you for the memories, the lessons, and all the little things that meant more than words could ever say. You will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
Forever in our hearts, Husband, Dad, and Grandpa. Until we meet again.
A Special Thank You. Our family extends our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who cared for Kris during his final weeks at Woodstock Hospital, his palliative care team, and the compassionate staff at Sakura House Hospice. Thank you for the kindness, dignity, comfort, and support you showed our dad and our family during this incredibly difficult time. We will always be grateful for your compassion.
