Lang is survived by his devoted wife Ruth [nee Appleton] with whom he recently celebrated 70 years of marriage.  He is also survived by his daughters Debra [Ker], Nancy [Harry], his son Jeff [Denis], his sister Helen, grandchildren Patrick [Rachael], Brett, and Holly [Colin], and great grandchildren Brea, Isaac, Blake, and Alex.  He was predeceased by parents Stanley and Agnes Gehman, brothers Robert and Ronald, and sister Janis.

Lang was raised in Galt Ontario.  He joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1952, and although he was awarded best all-round seaman in his division, after 5 years of military life he resigned from the Navy and he and Ruth returned to Ontario and settled in Brampton where he was employed by Nortel in both Brampton and London.  Following his retirement, he and Ruth decided on a new venture and moved to Tillsonburg and chose Hickory Hills Adult Community where they have resided and thoroughly enjoyed the past 24 years.  Lang was always keenly interested in sports of any kind whether participating or observing and was a former member of the Tillsonburg Golf and Country Club and Tillsonburg Senior Curling.  He also enjoyed 18 years of working with the dedicated volunteers at The Helping Hand Food Bank. Lang was a man of faith and a prayer warrior who prayed around the globe.  He was loved and appreciated by so many and will be deeply missed.
