Linda Osmond (nee Crane)

January 24, 1947 — June 11, 2025

Woodstock, Ontario

It is with heavy hearts that we remember and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman—a mother, a wife, a friend, and a pillar of unwavering strength and warmth.  Linda passed away suddenly on June 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and deep devotion to her family and those fortunate enough to know her.

Linda is survived by her son Jeff, and his wife Wen, who was the light of her life.  She will be remembered by her siblings David, Paul (Deb), Gary, John, and Mary Crane, sisters-in-law Judy Crane, Barb Osmond, LouAnne Osmond, Mary Osmond, and by her nieces and nephews.  Linda was predeceased by her loving husband William Osmond, her parents Albert John and Dorothy Joyce (nee Dawdry) Crane, sister Trudy (George) Kitchen, brothers Howard Crane and Gerald Crane, and brothers-in-law Merv Osmond, Murray Osmond, and Brian Osmond.

Linda was a long-time resident of Woodstock, Ontario, retired from the ORC and Sobey’s.  She was a woman of grace and quiet resilience, the one that others always turned to in times of need.  Her support for her family was constant and unshakable.   One of the purest expressions of her love came through her cooking.  The kitchen was her sacred space where she poured her soul into every meal she prepared.  Family gatherings were never complete without her signature dishes, crafted with care, seasoned with love, and always shared generously.  Her meals were more than nourishment—they were a way of bringing people together, of showing affection without words.

Her devotion to her son was unmistakable - a bond rooted in deep love, quiet pride, and the kind of understanding only a mother can offer.  She carried the memory of her late husband with dignity and tenderness, their love story one of true companionship and enduring connection.

Known for her elegant hats, she had a personality that radiated.  She loved her friends deeply, and her circle of dear companions will remember her for the laughter she shared, the loyalty she showed, and the kindness she never withheld.  Though her departure was sudden, her spirit continues to live on in the countless lives she touched.
