In Loving Memory of Linda Rees

          It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Linda Rees, age 62, on Tuesday September 8, 2026.  Born in Scotland and later making her home in Wolverton, Linda built a life centered around the thing that mattered most to her — her family.

          Linda was the loving wife of Jerry, and an incredible mother to her three children, Michael, Mathew, and Katie.  She will be deeply missed by Katie’s partner, John, and by the four little people who held an especially enormous place in her heart — her grandbabies, Brooklyn, Bentley, Addison, and Aubrey.

          “Grannie” was a name Linda wore with so much love and pride.  Being Grannie was one of Linda’s greatest joys.  She loved her grandbabies fiercely and treasured every moment she could spend with them.  Whether it was going to the park, spending time together, laughing, or simply being present for the everyday moments, Grannie was a huge part of their lives.  They were her world, and the love she gave them will remain with them forever.

          Linda was the kind of person whose smile and laugh could light up a room.  She was bright, funny, loving, kind, and full of life.  She loved simple nights at home playing cards with her family, usually filled with plenty of laughter.  She enjoyed trips with her best friends and her sister, and loved watching her sons play hockey.  More than anything though, Linda simply loved being surrounded by the people she loved.

          Linda lived with ALS and faced challenges that most people could never imagine.  Even through those struggles and life in a wheelchair, she continued to fight and continued to give her family the best life she possibly could.  ALS may have changed what her body allowed her to do, but it never changed who Linda was.  Her love, humour, strength, and devotion to her family remained at the center of everything.

          Linda leaves behind her husband Jerry, her children Michael, Mathew, and Katie, along with Katie’s partner, John, and her treasured grandchildren Brooklyn, Bentley, Addison, and Aubrey.  She is survived by her father Hugh, and her sister Wendy.  Linda was predeceased by her loving mother Donella.

          Of all the hats Linda wore throughout her life, perhaps the very best were Mom and Grannie.  Her family will carry her love, her laugh, her smile, her strength, and everything she taught them for the rest of their lives.  She leaves behind a family who loved her beyond words and who will forever be grateful that they got to call her theirs.

          A Celebration of Life for Linda will be held at a later date, with details to be determined and shared with family and friends.

     And in the words Linda so often shared with the people she loved, “I love you more.”
