Lois Challinor

Lois Marie Challinor passed away peacefully at Woodstock Hospital in her 96th year after a brief illness.

Predeceased by her husbands, John Best Challinor (1924 – 1974), and John McKinnon Hemstock (1922 – 1996); her parents, Elsworth and Mae Seabrook; and her siblings, Peg Hahn, Bill, Jack, Maxine Pringle, Archie and LaFerne. She is survived by her three sons, John II (Liz), Geoff, and Mark (Andrea); her grandchildren, Ashley (Will), John III (Nadia), Cal and Harley Jane; and one great-grandchild, Aisha.

The Celebration of Life for Lois Marie Challinor will take place on Saturday October 25, 2025, from noon to 3 p.m., in the Inglis Room at the Stone Tree Golf Club, 318085 Hwy 6 &10, Owen Sound, Ontario.  Interment will take place at the Challinor family plot on Monday October 27, 2025, at noon at Maple Leaf Cemetery, 55 Maple Leaf Drive, Chatham, Ontario.

The Challinor family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and support staff at Woodstock Hospital for their mother’s, grandmother’s and great-grandmother’s exemplary care during her stay there.
