Lorraine Adeline Smith (nee Pilon), a resident of Woodstock for the past 6 years, Lorraine was born and lived most of her life in Hamilton, Ontario.
A beloved wife of the late James Edward Smith (1964) and dear mother of her son, Jim Smith and his wife Linda and her daughter Linda Di Ianni. Loving Grandmother of five grandchildren, David (Kristy), Sarah (Jeff) and Jonathan (Laura), Robert and Jeremy along with seven great grandchildren Karissa, Kelsey, Aila, Evelyn, Damon, Michael and Adam.
Lorraine loved travelling the world, playing bid euchre, trying her luck at the slots and of course, cheering for the Blue Jays and enjoying Swiss Chalet. She continued bowling and line dancing well into her 90’s.
Lorraine lived a remarkably long life with courage and spirit. As the last surviving sibling, she was the family historian with a keen memory of the past and was very proud of her French-Canadian heritage. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
There will be a private family interment and a celebration of life will be held on Tuesday October 20, 2026, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., at Marquis Gardens, 1050 Rymal Road East, Hamilton, Ontario.
