Lucille Elizabeth Hubley

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lucille Elizabeth (Fraser) Hubley on January 7, 2021 at the Maple Manor Nursing Home in Tillsonburg, Ontario at the age of 83 years.  Loving wife and best friend to Al Hubley.  She was the proud mother of five children, all of whom live in Ontario, Michael Hubley (Lynn) of Waterdown, Mark Hubley (Lynda) of Windsor,  Lynda Hubley-Masson (Paul) of Ingersoll, Greg Hubley (Diane) of London, and Crystal Hubley of Windsor.  She was the loving grandmother to Courtney (Hubley) Schneppendahl (Patrick) of London, Michael Hubley of Hamilton, Jessie Hubley of Windsor, Bruce Colwell (Terry) of Port Dover, Patrick Delisle of Petrolia, Aaron Delisle of Windsor,  Pamela Vanek (Adam) of London, and Ashley Boudreau (Kenny) of Windsor.  Lucille was also blessed with 16 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

She is lovingly remembered by her sister Donna Brittain (Jack) of Oshawa and predeceased by her parents, her stepfather William Rent, her sister Audrey Wilcox and her brothers Richard Fraser and Edward Fraser.

Lucille was born in Nova Scotia on April 24, 1937 to Kathleen (Martin) Fraser and Lyall Fraser and cherished her east coast roots.  She followed her husband Al on his military journey to various locations including New Brunswick and Petawawa, Ontario. They relocated to Windsor after his discharge where they lived for many years.  She loved the outdoors and thoroughly enjoyed their subsequent retirement time in Elliot Lake before finally moving to Eden, Ontario in her final years.  Known in the Tillsonburg area as the “Pie Lady”, she was a fixture at the many country music jams in the area proudly offering her fresh baked goodies for all to enjoy.  Lucille was loved by everyone and made lifelong friends wherever she went.  She cherished her family above all else and she will be missed by us all.

The family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks for the loving care that Lucille received from the Staff at Maple Manor during her 2 1/2 year stay there.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be planned for a future time. If desired memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Oxford. Wareing Cremation Services, Tillsonburg entrusted.  Messages of remembrance and condolences may be shared at www.wareingcremation.ca
