Mae Marguerite Smith

          The family announces with great sorrow her passing in Kitchener, Ontario on Monday May 11, 2026 at the age of 92.

          Predeceased by her beloved Husband of 60 years, James Glenn ‘Jim’ Smith, and her beautiful daughter, Deborah Mae McCrudden.  Loving mother of Doug (Linda) Smith, Brad (Maureen) Smith, and son-in law John McCrudden.  Adored Grandma to Brandon (Katie) Smith, Andrew (Kim) Smith, Evan Smith, Trent (Lacey) Smith, Kelly McCrudden and David McCrudden.  Devoted Great Grandmother to Thea, Everly, Norah, Arlo, Phoenix, Fallon, Lincoln, Lennon, Lennox, and Clara.  Predeceased by her parents Ethel Mae (nee Scarlett) Bell and Joseph Kenneth Bell formerly of Maryborough Township, Ontario, and by her brother Grant.  

          Marg will be deeply missed by her sisters, Louise Meyer, Dorothy (Dale) Mitchell, and Linda Bechtold, and her treasured nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by brothers-in-law Roger Bechtold and Jim Meyer.

          Mom and Dad spent many wonderful years at the cottage as well as travelling together which brought them many wonderful memories.

          A private Family Service will be held at a later date in Kitchener, Ontario where Mom will join Dad.
