In Loving Memory of Marie Elizabeth Masson

          It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Marie Elizabeth Masson, in her 83rd year on July 27, 2026, at PeopleCare Tavistock Long Term Care Home.

          Marie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, stepmother, sister, and friend who found joy in life’s simple pleasures.  She loved spending hours completing puzzles and making crafts.  She was a devoted fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs and enjoyed cheering on her favourite teams.  She appreciated quiet moments, familiar routines, and the simple hobbies that brought her happiness.

          Marie was predeceased by Albert Speechley and Bruce Masson.  She was also predeceased by her stepchildren, Rick Masson (Tracy) and daughter-in-law Patricia Speechley.  She will be lovingly remembered by her sons John Speechley (Mary) and Thomas Speechley; her stepchildren Tom Masson (Janet), Sandra Mann (Jeff), Roger Masson (Jackie), Cathy Dagenais (Gary); her brother Louis Sadloski (Linda); her grandchildren Madison Prouse (Jeff), Mitchell Speechley (Cassie), Alisha Davidson (Earl), Stephen, Jordan, and Alysha Speechley; and her cherished great-grandchildren Crosby, Watson, Ashton, Abigail, and Elena.

          In keeping with Marie’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and she will be laid to rest privately.  As per her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.

          The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the compassionate staff at PeopleCare Tavistock Long Term Care Home for the exceptional care, kindness, and dignity they provided to Marie over the past four years.  Your support meant more to our family than words can express.

          A heartfelt thank you is also extended to Irene Butcher, Marie’s dear friend for her unwavering friendship, compassion, and support, especially during the final chapter of Marie’s life.  Your kindness and devotion brought comfort not only to Marie but to our entire family, and for that we are deeply grateful.

          Marie leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories that her family will hold close forever.
