Marion E. Chartrand

December 13, 1949 — February 23, 2025

Ingersoll, Ontario

           Marion Elizabeth Chartrand was born into a family of six siblings to loving parents Helen and Russell Miller on December 13th, 1949.  A sister to Velma, Bernice, Joyce, Lorna, and predeceased by siblings Doris and Graham.  A mother to Kelly (Gord “the favorite son”), Elizabeth (Cory), Joseph, and many adopted and step children.  Marion’s pride to be a grandmother will shine bright every day in all the memories with her grandchildren Tiana, Stacey, Terri-Lynn, Daniel, C.J., and Jenni.  Marion shared many loving memories with her Great Grandchildren Malakai (Kaitlyn), Mason (Hailey), Melody, Naomy, Nikolaus, Klarissa as a very eager and involved Great Grandmother.  Marion’s love for her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren was undeniable including the two she never got the privilege to meet, Noah and Oliver. 

         Marion will be remembered for her sense of style, matching flashy Jewelry and Whitty sarcasm.  Marion spent many days in her garden adoring her lilies and fresh vegetables. Marion passion for sewing was passed on the many generations.  Marion’s humour was a key part of who she was as her family enjoyed and will cherish her laughter in the last couple months.  Marion's passion for caring for others was evident in her journey as a PSW by the loving care she gave to her many patients.  A beautiful caring friend to many.  Marion valued her all her friendship’s deeply but with special mention to her best friends Donna and Dennis, both of whom predeceased her.

        Malakai and Mason’s care of Marion in the last months and years will always be cherished as they supported her in her last wishes.  Her last days were spent peacefully surrounded by her close family at Sakura house.  Family would like to thank VON Sakura House for providing the most supportive and beautiful care; special thanks to Nurse Jen for honouring her last wishes with such care and love.  Her last moments were shared drumming and singing with Tiana on February 23, 2025.

        At the request of Marion, cremation has already taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.  In leu of flowers, memorial donations made to Sakura House are appreciated. https://www.vonsakurahouse.com/ways-to-donate
