Mark Evans

          It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Evans, who departed this life on May 1, 2025, at the age of 59.  Born in Ontario on St. Joseph Island, Mark was a devoted husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, friend and was soon to be a grandfather.

          Together for 39 years, married for 29 years, Mark is survived by his wife Marena; his son Brandon (Gabriela); his brothers, John (Brenda), Jim (Gianna), Tom (late Susan), and Bill; his sisters Donna (late Ken), Sarah (late Shadow), Mary Sue (Bob), and Trish (John), plus many nieces and nephews.  Welcoming Mark to his new surroundings are his parents James and Margaret (nee Johnson), brother Ken (Pat), sister Peggy, his best friend from childhood Eugene, and numerous pets, all of whom predeceased him.

          Mark started his career 39 years ago as an accounting clerk; later moving to the warehouse side of things, where he held various positions with companies now under the DHL North America umbrella.  Mark had a deep love for sports and was a true fan in every sense.  His passion for animals and nature defined the way he lived.  He was a very quiet person, who lived a great life and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
