Mark Kenneth Prestwich of Woodstock, Ontario, was born in Galt (Cambridge) Ontario on July 23,1958, and stepped into Jesus’ arms on September 19, 2023 at the Woodstock Hospital after numerous years of health challenges.
Mark is survived by his sons, Matthew Prestwich (Alexandra) of Victoria B.C., Jacob Prestwich (Pauline) of Kitchener and their mother Teresa Prestwich, his son Ethan Middleton of Kitchener and his mother Diana Middleton, and by his grandchildren: Victor, Maks, Roksana, and Zaklina.
He is also survived by his brother David Prestwich (Leanne) of Victoria, BC., his sisters Anne Cooper of Cambridge, Joey Kitzman (Michael) of Port McNicoll, and his twin Margaret Everingham (Bob) of Bowmanville. Remembered by nephews Robert Cooper (Mirabel) of Cambridge, Keith Prestwich (Glenn) of Toronto, Bradley Farrish (Kim) of Montreal, Mark Kitzman (Jocelyn) of Cambridge, and nieces Jennifer Halliday (Jason) of Cookstown, Leslie Cooper of Cambridge, Emma McTavish (Michael) of Toronto and Sarah Prestwich of Duncan, B.C., along with his grand nephews and grand nieces, Ashlan, Ainsley, Colton, Madeline, Isaac, and Grace.
Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Madeline Prestwich, and his brothers Donald Prestwich and Robert Prestwich.
Mark grew up in a large Prestwich family, was educated at Lincoln Avenue School and Galt Collegiate Institute. He worked in Cambridge and Kitchener until moving and settling in Woodstock until his passing.
On behalf of his family, we wish to thank the staff of Victoria Manor Retirement Home for their constant care and support, and the Staff in Emergency and Critical Care of the Woodstock Hospital. Most recently the Staff in the Palliative Care Unit of Woodstock Hospital were amazing and we are forever grateful for their support.
A Celebration of Mark’s life will be held on Sunday October 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at the Cambridge Community Church, 73 Pollock Ave, Cambridge, Ontario.
