It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother Mary Foster on Friday April 10, 2026, at Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock, Ontario.
Born in Montreal on November 17, 1941, Mary was the daughter of Alec and Elma Feher and stepdaughter of Bert Easton. Mary will be deeply missed by her three children, son Allen Meharg and his wife Christine, daughter Carol Nichols and her husband Ed, and daughter Jackie French. Mary will also be deeply missed by her seven grandchildren Melissa Meharg, Alicia Meharg, Allen Meharg Jr., Denise Reid, Tasha Meharg, Justin French and Miranda Boven, her eight great-grandchildren, Mariah, Miles, Seth, Damian, Neveah, Liliah, Reed and Mia, and her nieces and nephews. Mary is survived by her sister Cecile DeCloet. She was predeceased by her husband Don Foster, her sister Lucy (Feher) Cole, and her brother John Feher.
Mary will be remembered for the love she had for her family and the many memories shared with them over the years. Her warmth, strength, and devotion to those she loved will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
The family wishes to extend a special “Thank You” to all of the Staff at Woodingford Lodge Woodstock for the care, support and compassion that Mom received.
In keeping with Mary’s wishes, there will be no formal service. Memorial donations made to the Helping Hand Food Bank in Tillsonburg, Ontario are sincerely appreciated.
Dear Lord, We come before You with hearts of gratitude for the life of our beloved Mother. Thank you for the countless blessings she brought into our lives, for her love, her care, and her unwavering support. We are grateful for the memories we shared and the lessons she taught us. As we mourn her passing, help us to hold onto the joy and love she gave us, and let her spirit live on through our actions and our words. We thank You, Lord, for the gift of her life, and we trust in Your eternal plan. Amen
