With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Louise LePage (nee Desloges) at the age of 77, on May 7th, 2025, at Sakura House Hospice. Mary fought a brave—though far too short—battle with cancer, demonstrating her strength and resilience every step of the way.
Born in Cochrane, Ontario, in 1948, Mary was a vibrant force of love, generosity, and determination. She is survived by her devoted husband of 45 years, Peter Robinson; her sister Katherine, brother Jimmy (Bev), brother-in-law Jim (Tara); her Aunt Kay and Uncle Ron, her cherished niece Lynn (Dwight) and nephew Jeff; her beloved bonus daughters Anne Marie (Jim) and Kathleen; and her treasured great-nephews Justin ( Ana), Johnathan (Bekki), and Tyler (Bayan), Shawn, Christopher, Joe (Crystal) as well as her beautiful great-great nephew Daniel. She also leaves behind five grandchildren whom she adored beyond words: Jack, Sydney, Austin, Kelsey, and Avery. Mary was predeceased by her mother Matilda, father Joseph, sister Evelyn (Jim), and brother Larry whose memories she carried close to her heart.
A woman of great warmth and determination Mary built a long and successful career in banking and finance. She concluded her professional journey as a self-employed contractor - a testament to her independence and work ethic. Mary was truly one of a kind: smart, stubborn, generous, and endlessly charming, with a radiant smile that lit up every room she entered. She gave of herself freely, made friends wherever she went, and touched countless lives with her kindness and strength. She found joy in her beautiful new home, which she thoughtfully designed and decorated herself. But her greatest joy was time spent with friends and family - especially her adored grandchildren and nephews, with whom she shared countless cherished memories. Mary’s life was a gift to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
We also want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Staff at Sakura House Hospice for their compassionate and respectful care of Mary in her final days.
A Celebration of Life for Mary will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Mary’s honour to Sakura House or to her dear friend Phil's Ride to Conquer Cancer fundraiser.
